Bodrum Boat Tour Guide 2026: Daily Tour, Blue Cruise, Private Charter

A day at sea is non-negotiable in Bodrum. The bays show their true character from the water, not the shore. This guide compares daily tours, blue cruise packages and private charters.

Daily boat tour

The most popular option. You board around 11 AM and return between 17-18. The boat stops at 3-5 coves with 30-45 minute swim breaks. Lunch is on board. Departures from Bodrum centre, Yalıkavak and Turgutreis.

Routes

  • Bodrum → Black Island → Aquarium → Meteor — the classic. Mineral mud and natural sauna.
  • Yalıkavak → Tilkicik → Kudur → Sandıma — quieter, marina views.
  • Bodrum → Orak Island → Pabuçburnu — less crowded than Aquarium.
  • Turgutreis → Yahşi → Aquarium — family-friendly.

Price range

High season: 1,200-2,500 TL per person. Premium boats (DJ, unlimited drinks) reach 3,500 TL. Children under 7 are usually free.

Blue cruise

Bodrum's iconic sailing brand. 3-7 nights of living on a boat, drifting through the peninsula's coves. Classic lines run into Gökova Gulf (Sedir Island, Cleopatra Beach, Akbük, English Harbour) and toward Datça-Knidos. The traditional wooden gulet has evolved into a 4-8 cabin 'motor gulet' — gentle sailing meets luxury comfort.

Types

  • Cabin charter: Book a single cabin; tour with other guests. Budget-friendly.
  • Private blue cruise: Charter the whole boat for your group. Custom route.
  • Luxury gulet: Chef + hostess + premium catering. Honeymoon or events.

How many nights?

First-time? 3 nights is a good taster. 4-5 nights is classic; a full week lets you tour Gökova and Datça in one go.

Private charter

Rent the whole boat for a few hours or a day. Perfect for sunset cruises (2-3 hours), birthday parties, proposals, corporate events. From 15,000 TL/hour, varying by motor yacht or catamaran. Chef, alcohol, sound system added on request.

8 things to know

  1. Routes may shift with weather. Captain's call is final.
  2. Bring sunscreen — the sun hits twice as hard on the water.
  3. Bring your own beach towel; most boats don't supply them.
  4. An underwater camera or snorkel kit doubles the fun.
  5. Cabins on blue cruises are small — soft duffel beats hard suitcase.
  6. Local wine pairs beautifully with the boat — your own bottle is welcome.
  7. Acupressure wristbands help if you're prone to seasickness.
  8. WiFi is spotty in coves — perfect excuse for a digital detox.

Frequently Asked Questions

In high season, a full week is 18,000-35,000 TL per person. Luxury gulets with chef can exceed 45,000 TL.
